Our client, a premier privately-held construction materials producer with a significant footprint across New England, is seeking a Plant Manager for a key operational site in Eastern Upstate New York. This established organization is known for its regional market leadership and its commitment to long-term operational excellence.
General Description
This critical leadership role directs a high-volume, combined quarry and hot mix asphalt (HMA) facility. You will be the primary site authority, responsible for the total performance of the operation—from driving a zero-incident safety culture to managing P&L and optimizing production through modern continuous improvement methodologies.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Supervises and directs the efforts of plant staff, operators, and laborers.
- Upholds a zero-incident safety culture in strict compliance with MSHA and OSHA standards.
- Full P&L and budgetary responsibility for the facility's operations.
- Identifies and mitigates operational risks including safety, scheduling, and production bottlenecks.
- Coordinates production scheduling, quality control, and preventive maintenance to maximize efficiency.
Education and / or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
- Proven experience in aggregate production and / or hot mix asphalt (HMA) operations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in driving continuous improvement and team development.
